FEMA Fire Prevention and Safety Grant Application Period Now Open

The purpose of the Fire Prevention and Safety Grant (FP&S) is to enhance the safety of the public and firefighters with respect to fire and fire-related hazards. The primary goal is to target high-risk populations and lessen high incidences of death and injury due to fire hazards. 

Fire departments and fire prevention organizations throughout the United States can acquire education tools through the Fire Prevention and Safety Grant as part of a comprehensive and detailed public safety education campaign.  Eligible items include escape planning, safety trailers, curriculum delievery tools, or age-appropriate fire extinguisher training equipment.

                                        by November 30, 2007, and mailed to the
                                   Federal Emergency Mangement Association
